where can i find information on what items were carried by soldiers in rucksacks during WWII and vietnam war?

jo jo March 24, 2010 at 1:46 am: i’m unsure exactly, but as a current soldier i’m assuming that food, change of clothes, ammunition, maps, a field radio (man pack), cigarettes(very likely), personal hygiene items. binoculars…hmmm can’t think of anything else at this point…
