i am not starting school - I am in Year 10 (9th grade). I was just interested into new stuffn because I wanted a change.

A good back pack, I recommend roots because they have padding on the shoulder straps and back, it’s really nice on those nights when you need to bring a lot home.
As for a hair style, it doesn’t really matter. Whatever makes you happiest is the best. But it should be versatile enough.
Discrete make up? yes. The heavier the make up the more people who’ll call you whore behind your back.
Most school supplies survive for a year. So don’t go and spend hundreds of dollars on ridiculous things. You’ll need lots of lined and graph paper, lots of pencils, erasers, different coloured pens, highlighters, whiteout, geometry set (specifically a protractor), different coloured binders for every subject, a scientific calculator, pencil crayons, a pencil case, a ruler, and I think that’s it. Some teachers do require extra supplies, for example, in an art class you’ll need art pencils and a sketch book among other things.
