Where can I find information on what items were taken by soldiers in backpacks during the Second World War and the Vietnam War?
Not sure exactly, but as a soldier I'm assuming that current food, change of clothes, ammunition, maps, a field radio (pack of man), cigarettes (very likely), personal hygiene items. binoculars ... hmmm I can not think of anything else right now ...
