Choosing the Right Tent

When you're camping, your tent is the most important piece of equipment. Without a tent, you are nothing! You need to keep you dry and warm (but not too hot). There is a huge huge range OT in the market and may be difficult to decide what to buy but here are some tips to help you on your way.

There are so many different tents ILO in the market that can be difficult to know where to start. from simple to a person prone to easily fit in your backpack, until monster eight berth, with all amenities including pool and spa or massage table, maybe a bit far, but you get the idea!). As with everything about camping, your tent suit the needs of the purpose for which you will be using. If you are going to carry the tent in a backpack, the weight and dimensions are packed very important. If you are camping with the family, you may want something with separate sleeping areas for privasy. All these details can be found in the package insert or store when you buy your tent.

Tents will be labeled a "person one ',' two ', etc, but always you should check the actual dimensions of classifications can vary among manufacturers. You should also pay attention to how much space is in the classroom and what the height of the store is (ie can stand). Below is a summary of the different types of tents to choose.

Frame Shops: They have the best headroom and are useful for families, and those who will cook inside the tent. The disadvantage of frame tents is that they are havy and difficult to carry, so it is only appropriate if you travel by car (and a few people who got hepatitis). Marco stores are becoming less popular in favor of more lightweight fashioable dome tents.

Ridge Tent: This tent is a triangular shape, the more tradiditonal that is accustomed to seeing. Rarely seen in this today, and again have given way to the dome tents art.

Dome tents: A dome-shaped tent, very easy to assemble and very light. The flexible thread the poles through the tent fabric Criss corssing in the center. The poles are normally reinforced plastic or metal alloy. Stores of the vault can range from a very compact right man or two to a family sized tent with standing room. They are relatively inexpensive, and because of its size compact packaging that are easy to transport. tents dome over are more vulnerable to strong winds of a tent frame and that care must be taken in bad weather.

Hoop Tents: These are a cross betwen a ridge and dome tent. They are strong with space inner ring, which may be multiple, also known as a tunnel tent, or unique ring that is lighter and easier to carry. Stores Hoop campaign are often favored by mountaineers for its strngth in high winds and extreme conditions.

Geodesic Tents: A shop geodetic campaign is similar to a Dome tent, but with a slightly different structure that gives them greater strength in high winds. Often, a little more expensive than a dome tent standard.

Vis-a-vis: Tents with sleeping areas on either side of the main central area. These are genrally noeadays style dome, but it does occasionally see a crest style vis-à-vis the store.

Tourism Tents: Tents of tourism can be extended tents or extended dome tent ridge. They normally have a porch, which is very useful in the kitchen (although in tents goking should only be done if it is safe to do so, and you should consult the manufacturr if you are not sure). Touring tents often have windows and the store of choice for people who spend long periods of camping.

Most tents have 2 layers. The first, a breathable "internal" which provides heat and maintenance of the insects out, while the "outside" fysheet or 'skin' is the layer that is waterproof on the outside. Having a dual-layer structure also prevents moisture and condensation from the building. These layers can be made from a wide range of materials, the upper end of the price range tends to be the best insulation, more Breathable and better and is recommended for extreme weather conditions. The higher price ranges will also be home to the shops with the seams the best quality and zippers as these are often the first things to go.

The strength of the poles is an important factor if you want your tent to the last. Modern shops are extremely lightweight, but often you can tell the difference between poor quality and the poles of good quality. As a general rule, usually gets what you pay. If you are using your store to go to a festival and do not tend to do much more with it, then you can pick up a 2 man tent around £ 25. If you are looking for something that can be used a few times a year in all conditined, then prices can rise to about £ 500 for top quality stores.

Whatever your choice, remember to leave anough space for your stuff. A tent 2 often the man is big enough for 2 people, but if both have backpacks or large equipment may be best to consider a further tent for this
