Choosing the Right Tent
When you're camping, your tent is the most important piece of equipment. Without a tent, you are nothing! You need to keep you dry and warm (but not too hot). There is a huge huge range OT in the market and may be difficult to decide what to buy but here are some tips to help you on your way.
There are so many different tents ILO in the market that can be difficult to know where to start. from simple to a person prone to easily fit in your backpack, until monster eight berth, with all amenities including pool and spa or massage table, maybe a bit far, but you get the idea!). As with everything about camping, your tent suit the needs of the purpose for which you will be using. If you are going to carry the tent in a backpack, the weight and dimensions are packed very important. If you are camping with the family, you may want something with separate sleeping areas for privasy. All these details can be found in the package insert or store when you buy your tent.
Tents will be labeled a "person one ',' two ', etc, but always you should check the actual dimensions of classifications can vary among manufacturers. You should also pay attention to how much space is in the classroom and what the height of the store is (ie can stand). Below is a summary of the different types of tents to choose.
Frame Shops: They have the best headroom and are useful for families, and those who will cook inside the tent. They normally have a porch, which is very useful in the kitchen (although in tents goking should only be done if it is safe to do so, and you should consult the manufacturr if you are not sure). Touring tents often have windows and the store of choice for people who spend long periods of camping.
Most tents have 2 layers. The first, a breathable "internal" which provides heat and maintenance of the insects out, while the "outside" fysheet or 'skin' is the layer that is waterproof on the outside. Having a dual-layer structure also prevents moisture and condensation from the building. These layers can be made from a wide range of materials, the upper end of the price range tends to be the best insulation, more Breathable and better and is recommended for extreme weather conditions. The higher price ranges will also be home to the shops with the seams the best quality and zippers as these are often the first things to go.
The strength of the poles is an important factor if you want your tent to the last. Modern shops are extremely lightweight, but often you can tell the difference between poor quality and the poles of good quality. As a general rule, usually gets what you pay.
