Can I wash my Roxy bag?

I have a Roxy backpack and is very dirty. I tried to wipe clean, but does not really work. I'm thinking of throwing i the washer, but says "Hand wash only" on the label. I'm really worried its going to lose their color or something. Help! Has anyone washed before from his backpack and what has happened? The backpack is a pattern of green flowers, yellow and white with black border and is made of 100% Polyester if this helps. Thanks:)

i have polyester shirts and can be washed ... therefore assume wash bag wouldnt hurt anyone. just does not wash with anything else, like the colors can transfer to other things in the wash.
