On the GBA version, you can only hold 8 items. For the makers, you need to upgrade the chicken coop or the barn first. Then, you need to get an Adamantite (level 10 and lower) from the spring mine. Then, it costs the ore and 20,000 G each to purchase the makers from the town blacksmith, Saibara.
