How shall I dress for college in the UK?
Hi I'm 16 and going to be starting college next month. Would dressing up in long sleeved shirts tucked into grey suit trousers, with a thin black belt and black leather shoes look okay? I'm just bored of jeans as everyone wears them and I thought this would look casual yet smart too? Obviously have top bottom undone to avoid looking like a geek and I'm quite tall so maybe this look would be better? Would it impress girls? Plus having a rucksack on all the time would make the whole appearance look even more casual? What do you think?

Unless you're going to a private college that seems pretty formal, and besides if you were you'd probably be wearing a suit. Did you have an induction? That would have given you a chance to see how people at that college would dress. I had a college induction in June and all the boys just seemed pretty casual, like jeans and fred perry polos. You might scare girls off as well, because you might look a bit like a politician.
