Buying a tent
When you're camping, your tent is the most important piece of equipment. Without a tent, you are nothing! You need to keep you dry and warm (but not too hot). There is a huge OT huge range on the market and may be difficult to decide what to buy, but here are some tips to help you on your way when buying a tent.
Most tents have 2 layers. The first one breathable "inside" which provides heat and keeping the insects out, while the 'outside' or 'skin' is the waterproof layer that is overseas. These can be made from a wide range of materials, the upper end of the price range tends to be the best isolated, more breathable and best quality and is recommended for extreme weather conditions. The higher price ranges will also be home to the shops with the best quality stitching and zippers as these are often the first things to do.
The strangth of the poles is an important factor if you want your tent to last. Modern shops are extremely lightweight, but often they can tell the difference between poor quality and the poles of good quality. As a rule, you generally get what you pay. If you are using your store to go to a festival and do not tend to do much more with it, then you can pick up a 2 man tent of around £ 25. If you are looking for something you can use a couple of times a year in all conditined, then prices can rise to about £ 500 per high quality shops.
Whatever your choice, remember anough to allow space for your stuff. A tent 2 times the man is sufficiently great for 2 people, but if they have backpacks or large equipment that would be better to think of a greater number of stores for this.
