What is a good brand? I'm traveling to New Zealand for 2 weeks, but would like to use for other trips, as Europe, it would be for longer. I thought maybe it would be a good size 80L? I prefer one with a parcel of days off and really did not want to spend much money, about $ 100 - $ 200 U.S. $!
Hi - depends where you are. If you're in Australia: MacPac, designs and Karrimor Mountain are good brands. 80L is a great package for a woman. Before you choose, you need to think about what we are about. If you are at the core of walking long distances you need a small package that is loaded from the top only - MacPac would mark their choice for that. This should be higher and as sausage. A "travel package" is more like a soft bag - the zipper is on the outside and can access all the whole package. It is more square in form and much easier to get along with if you are moving from accommodation to accommodation rather than walk long distances. A mountain designs "70L latitude "can be good (in fact - that were on sale last week). They are generally cheaper and slightly heavier but more robust. Stay away of which have wheels built in - are the worst of all worlds in terms of weight against the convenience, and quite uncomfortable. Many good, cheap packages on eBay. No a time that can go wrong with them beyond the postcard. (Stay away from Caribs - trash cheaply).
